Some steps are created to explain the theory and some to test the knowledge of the learners.
Theoretical steps
There are two types of theoretical steps.
Text — shows learners a text. You can edit its format (font, color and size), add math formulas and links as well as upload images to the text. Please be careful to keep the style continuity, avoid bright colors and make sure the text is visible. It is better to divide the information into several steps, so the whole text will be visible on the screen. We recommend not to upload text as big pictures as it is not comfortable to read.
Specifics of graphic uploads:
- You can upload pictures up to 50 MP or 25 MB.
- GIFs may be uploaded via File upload ⇒ Add image.
- Please note that if you want to upload someone else's graphic materials, you may only use those with an open license and have to provide source and authorship.
Video — shows learners a video lecture. You can upload a video or a screencast. The only limit is 500 MB per video file. Please follow our recommendations here.
To test how well your learners understood the theoretical material, you can use steps with assignments. You can read more about the types of assignments in this category.
